How we protect your asset data.
Mannal Asset holds the financial record of what your organisation owns. These are the controls that protect it.
Controls
Built into the platform.
Hosting and encryption in transit
Hosted service: nothing to install on your servers. All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS and delivered through Cloudflare’s network. Hosted in Tanzania.
Per-organisation data isolation
Each organisation has its own database and its own subdomain. Users of one organisation cannot see another’s records.
Role-based access control
Built-in and custom roles set what each user can view, create, edit and approve. Users can be limited to one property or given group-wide access.
Approval workflows
Transfers and disposals go through approval steps you configure. You can set a value below which requests are approved automatically.
Full audit trail
Changes across the system are logged with the user and the time. Approvals keep a signature log on each request.
Session timeout
Users are signed out after a period of inactivity that your administrator sets.
Nightly backups
Data is backed up every night.
Data export on request
Your data belongs to you. Reports export to Excel, CSV and PDF at any time, and we provide a full export of your data on request.
Data protection
Tanzania’s Personal Data Protection Act, 2022
Mannal Asset is designed to support compliance with Tanzania’s Personal Data Protection Act, 2022. It stores the personal data needed to run the system, such as user names, email addresses and the staff an asset is assigned to.
Access is limited by role, changes are logged and your data can be exported or deleted at the end of your contract. As the organisation using Mannal Asset, you remain responsible for how you collect and use personal data in it.
